70 years ago, one of the world’s most inspirational men was born.
George Harrison became famous through the Beatles. He may not have been the greatest guitarist of all time and I’m sure he had flaws like any other human, but a day does not go by that I do not listen to a George Harrison song.
I don’t know what I would do without him, to be honest.
Happy Birthday George.

173 years ago, one of the greatest love stories in history was consummated.
In St. James’s Palace’s Chapel Royal, the reigning Queen of England, Victoria, married Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
They would have nine children together, including Victoria, Princess Royal/German Empress; King Edward VII; Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse; and Prince Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
Victoria mourned Albert for the remaining 40 years of her life after his death.

49 years ago today The Beatles first entered America, setting off the ‘British Invasion’ of British rock music.
Because of this momentous arrival, my father fell in love with the music and the band and would later pass that love onto me. This is probably one of the few good things he did for me as they were ones who got me through my adolescence. To this day they (especially George Harrison) give me strength and inspiration to keep going.
Thank you Ed Sullivan.
